With the participation of César Tárrega, Juan Sánchez, Vicente Guillot, and Arantxa Lozano at the Jaume Ortí Municipal Sports Center
Aldaia, “Terra De Valentia,” was this Tuesday, February 17, an epicenter of true Valencian pride with the official unveiling of the mural from the 4th VCF Urban Art Route, created by artists Dannyelsen and Very Art.
Specifically, the Jaume Ortí Municipal Sports Center brought together Valencia CF player César Tárrega and former black-and-white footballers Juan Sánchez, Vicente Guillot, and Arantxa Lozano (all four born in Aldaia), along with the youth academy of UD Aldaia.
They were joined by Leo and Pau, grandchildren of Jaume Ortí, former president of Valencia CF and a native of Aldaia; Guillermo Luján, the town’s mayor; Pepe Villegas, president of UD Aldaia; Fede Sagreras, president of the VCF Supporters’ Association; and Inma Ibáñez, director of the Fundació VCF.
To date, Valencia CF, through the Fundació VCF, and the Provincial Council of Valencia, through València Turism, have showcased a total of 27 murals across different municipalities as a result of the four editions of the VCF Urban Art Route. These creations are linked to Valencia CF—its history, key figures, achievements, and its unifying role in the city of Valencia, its metropolitan area, and the wider province.
The 16 municipalities included in the 4th Route, all of them ground zero areas affected by the DANA storm, are: Alaquàs, Albal, Aldaia, Alfafar, Algemesí, Beniparrell, Catarroja, Chiva, La Torre, Llocnou de la Corona, Massanassa, Paiporta, Picanya, Sedaví, Utiel, and Benetússer.
It is worth recalling that, following the DANA of October 2024, the pitch at the Jaume Ortí Municipal Sports Center was renovated thanks to Valencia CF, through the Fundació VCF, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Divina Seguros, and donations made to the “Solidarity Row Zero” through the Club’s charitable initiative “Units Com Sempre.”
The 11 municipalities that also host artworks from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Routes are: Cullera, Riba-roja de Túria, and Sueca (1st Route); Adzeneta d'Albaida, Alfafar, Gandia, and Oliva (2nd Route); and Beniatjar, Gavarda, Montroi, and Tavernes de la Valldigna (3rd Route).
